Scientific Advisory Board

The Scientific Advisory Board is composed of 4 members. It’s role is to provide support to the Board of Directors in evaluating the research proposals, the development and progress of the research projects.


Dr. Guy A. Rouleau
Director of the Montreal Neurological Institute and Hospital
Born in Ottawa, Dr. Guy Rouleau graduated from the University of Ottawa with a medical degree in 1980 and spent the next five years pursuing training as a clinical specialist in neurology at McGill University in Montréal. Dr. Rouleau comes to The Neuro from the Université de Montréal, where he was Director of the CHU Ste-Justine Research Centre and founder and Director of the Centre of Excellence in Neuroscience. There he held the Canada Research Chair in Genetics of the Nervous System as well as the Jeanne-et-J.-Louis-Levesque Chair in Genetics of Brain Diseases. Dr. Rouleau is Director of the Réseau de Médecine Génétique Appliquée - Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé. For additional information, see Dr Guy Rouleau.

Dr. Stefan Pulst
Neurologist, Professor at the Department of Neurology, University of Utah, Salt Lake City
January 24,2012- The Ataxia Charlevoix-Saguenay Foundation is pleased to annouce that Dr. Stefan Pulst, Deparment of Neurology at the University of Utah has kindly accepted to serve on the scientfic committee of the Foundation. Dr. Pults is a neurologist and member of the Brain Institute of the University of Utah.

Dr. Charron holds a research scholarship from the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé. He has a PhD in experimental medicine, Department of Medicine, McGill University and a B.Sc. in biochemistry, Department of Biochemistry, Université de Montréal. Postdoctoral fellowship, Department of Biological Sciences, Stanford University, California, USA.
