This conference provided an opportunity for researchers to share their knowledge and to discuss the&nbsp;progress of their respective research.\n\n<div id=\"attachment_2024\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2024\" class=\"wp-image-2024 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/arsacs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/DSC_1138a-300x182-2.jpg\" alt=\"dsc_1138a\" width=\"300\" height=\"182\"><p id=\"caption-attachment-2024\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Researchers at the Symposium<\/p><\/div>\n\nA representative from the University of North Carolina attended the Symposium given the&nbsp;current &nbsp;discussions with the university&nbsp;for a potential&nbsp;agreement to do ARSACS research&nbsp;in 2017.\n\nTwo independent experts from the world of pharma and the University of Oxford were present as observers on behalf of the Foundation.
