This is important as it should be possible use this cellular phenotype as a readout in assays to screen for drugs that could have potential therapeutic benefit for ARSACS<\/em>\u201d, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Dr Chapple.\n\nLe cytosquelette est un r\u00e9seau dynamique de filaments qui impr\u00e8gne le cytoplasme des cellules. Il agit pour r\u00e9gulariser la forme cellulaire et l'organisation interne, tout en fournissant le support m\u00e9canique qui permet aux cellules de se diviser et de se d\u00e9placer. Les chercheurs ont d\u00e9couvert qu'une composante du cytosquelette, connue sous le nom de filaments interm\u00e9diaires, a une organisation radicalement alt\u00e9r\u00e9e dans les cellules de la peau des patients ARSACS. Ceci a un impact sur\u00a0l'organisation interne de ces cellules, ainsi que sur le m\u00e9canisme qu'elles\u00a0utilisent pour traiter les composantes endommag\u00e9es et ind\u00e9sirables.
