The Foundation will provide a $5000 research grant to Olivier Audet to pursue his study with ARSACS patients.
In March 2013, we informed you that Olivier, a student in the Masters Program in experimental medicine at the University of Québec à Chicoutimi(UQAC), had developed a training program for the ARSACS patients to improve their quality of life.
His study is to determine the impact of the training program on the physical condition and symptoms of spasticity on the patients. Since then, Olivier has conducted a study with 13 participants aged from 17 to 55. The results will be available in August 2014 and will be published on the Foundation’s site.
